Yonder Mountain String Band, whose “Sepia-toned Americana… clean harmonies and breathtaking fretwork” (Metroland) have wowed fans and critics across the country this summer, will extend their tour this fall with sixteen dates in October, including gigs in Washington DC, New York, Boston, and Chicago.
They’ll be performing music from their new studio album The Show, a rollicking 13-song showcase for their unique rock-inflected style of modern bluegrass, to be released Sept. 1 on Frog Pad Records.
Longtime friend and collaborator Danny Barnes will support on all October shows and will also release a new album October 13. Republic of Strings fiddler Darol Anger will sit in with the band in Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago.
