New York City, NY
May 4, 2012
Keeping busy, Toubab Krewe took to the road and did what virtually every creator of improvisational music does… made a stop at Peter Shapiro’s Brooklyn Bowl.
It was a night of world music on a stage that is known for summoning guests from across the Big Apple and on this night, the story held true as the Asheville, NC crew (or Krewe) welcomed many, including Giant Panda Guerrilla Dub Squad guitarist Dylan Savage, djembe master and Ghana native, Weedie Braimah, and Sam Dickey, ngoti lute player and one of the city’s most sought after West African guitarists.
In short, it was a special night for New York’s Toubab fans.
