Tedeschi Trucks Band
New York City, NY
September 10, 2011
The Allman faithful were out in droves as their youngest son and his lovely wife took the famed Beacon stage for the first time since they birthed the Tedeschi Trucks Band moniker. Following a set by Atlanta’s Scrapomatic –whose front man Mike Mattson is a permanent fixture in TTB — Derek and his better half launched into a 16 song set that mainly centered in the groups latest studio effort, Bound for Glory, but did not leave the Allman faithful out in the cold — including teases of “Blue Sky” and “Little Martha” during a cover of Clapton’s “Coming Home.” On such a night, it was a privilege to have photographer Vernon Webb on the scene to document the occasion through his lens.
