New York’s Red Rooster has fashioned a high quality disc with Walk.
Led by Jay Erickson and Nat Zikha, Red Rooster kicks off Walk with the grounded blues of "Bluebird." Looking inward to produce simmering pop/rock intensity, "Black Point Road" feeds on the tight drumming of Jeremy Randol. Erickson and Zikha work acoustic magic on the life lessons story of "Borrowed Money." Erickson’s unique and earnest vocals bite deeply into Walk‘s improvisational high point, the delicately framed art piece, "Leaves in Autumn."
Produced by Erickson and recorded at Soft Landing Studio in Brooklyn, New York; Enchanted Garden Recording in Ridgefield, Connecticut; and Woodin Rock Sound Factory in Pawling, New York, Walk introduces the innovative folk talents of Red Rooster, and leaves one in anticipation of their next project.
Walk is out now.
