The moe.down XI line up sees Jakob Dylan canceling his appearance while Grace Potter & The Nocturnals are added. moe.'s annual Labor Day weekend festival, moe.down (www.moedown.com), will now include: moe. The Black Keys, Nas & Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Mike Gordon, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Lotus, Punch Brothers, Built to Spill, Tortoise, Ryan Montbleau Band, The Macpodz, The Brew, Turbine, Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds, Orgone, and Monkey Wrench.
Tickets are on sale now through moe.ticketing (www.moe.org) for $110 until Tuesday at midnight and then are $125. Tickets are $150 at the gate. This year, moe.down has a new home in Mohawk, NY at Gelston Castle Estate, which is conviently located between Syracuse and Albany, and only 7 miles off the thru-way. As in the past, the price of admission includes camping.
moe.down has a history of bringing a diverse collection of artists to the festival over its 10 year history. Bands that have played in the past include The Flaming Lips, Perry Farrell's Satellite Party, Cake, The Roots, Method Man and Redman, The Wailers, Ani DiFranco, Amos Lee, Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Avett Brothers and more.
This 3 day event has become known for its relaxed atmosphere and great music, as well as its intimate and scenic setting. With only 2 stages, bands never overlap and patrons never miss a beat!
In other moe. news, the band has confirmed concerts at New York City's Beacon Theater on October 8 and Philadelphia's Tower Theater on October 9.
moe. released Smash Hits, Volume 1 on the band's Fatboy Records label on June 1st. The album celebrates moe.'s 20th anniversary and includes newly recorded fan favorites that encompass the band's entire career.
