Next Tuesday, June 19 at 10pm ET/PT, Discovery Channel will kickoff the season premiere of After The Catch featuring six new episodes with the show’s first official house band, slam-grass pioneers Leftover Salmon.
After The Catch is the post-show special that airs immediately after the EMMY-award winning reality series The Deadliest Catch. This season was filmed in Leftover Salmon’s home state of Colorado.
During each episode, the band performs several songs while the cast takes a look back at the highs and lows of the season’s catch. Additional show details: http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/de
Leftover Salmon is enjoying a very busy 2012. They will continue to tour through the fall with over twenty confirmed dates scheduled through October including stops in markets the band hasn’t visited for over a decade (Boston, Athens, Asheville, Birmingham.)
All fan ticketing goes on sale tomorrow morning at 10am MST at www.leftoversalmon.com.
Additionally, the band filmed the documentary Salmonlandia, released the new album, Aquatic Hitchhiker, after an eight-year hiatus and hosted an epic outdoor concert in Denver.
“[Aquatic Hitchhiker‘s] brisk grassy rambles cross genre boundaries without restraint,” raved iTunes while NPR’s Mountain Stage called Leftover Salmon’s live performance, “one of the most engaging concert experiences to ever hit the road.”
Back in April, Honest Tune sat down with Leftover Salmon for an acoustic serving of Aquatic Hitchhiker‘s “Walking Shoes” and an interview. Click HERE to watch the videos and look at the photos from that night (4/20/12 in Atlanta)
