Excitement is brewing as the Hot August Blues & Roots Festival prepares to celebrate 20 years of bringing the best performers in blues and Americana music to the tri-state area. Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 18 when the grassy knoll of the picturesque Oregon Ridge Park fills once again for a day of star-studded performers heating up two stages for this not-to-miss event (named by the Tristate Indie Music Awards as Best Regional Festival for 2011).
Topping the bill this year is one of the hardest working bands around, Govt Mule. They will be joined by Trombone Shorty, Justin Townes Earle, Locos Por Juana, and The Cris Jacobs Band on the main stage. Blues legend Magic Slim will be headlining the B-Side Stage, with additional acts to be announced later.
Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased here.
