Hailing from Austin, Texas, blues guitarist Gary Clark Jr. has spent his last few years collecting an army of fans, awards and prestigious performance opportunities. Sharing the stage with legends like Eric Clapton, B.B.King and The Rolling Stones he’s played his soulful six string in clubs, arenas and even the White House for mesmerized crowds. Since first picking up his axe at age eleven, over the last few years he has seen his star rise, headlining his own tours and is an in-demand opener for some of the biggest touring acts in the world. Selling out shows around the world, it’s a sure bet that Clark’s star will continue to rise. Honest Tune senior photographer Ian Rawn caught Gary Clark Jr.’s show at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, Ga for a low down and dirty night with opening act Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics.
