Frank Carillo and the Bandoleros : Someday

frank_carillo_someday.jpgWith a lengthy classic rock resume that includes Peter Frampton’s Wind of Change and Frampton’s Camel recordings, plus forming Doc Holiday (not to mention a casual camaraderie with Led Zeppelin), Frank Carillo has spent a lifetime pleasing people with his infectious brand of high-octane, good-spirited blues and rock.

Carillo is a master guitar slinger-songwriter, and with his band, The Bandoleros ,he has crafted a gritty diamond-in-the-rough on Someday. "The Way Out" pulsates with Carillo’s scratchy, guttural delivery, and his presentation of love as a form of salvation is poignant. "Darkness Everywhere" adds layers and depth in an acoustic setting to rival Bruce Springsteen’s best social commentary.

Produced by Paul Orofino, Someday shines with guest appearances by keyboardist Augie Meyers (Bob Dylan, John Hammond), while The Bandoleros (Karl Allweier on bass, Eddie Seville on drums, brother Andrew Carillo on guitar, and Norman DelTufo on percussion) bring drive and soul to it’s street beating rhythms. Someday once again brings much deserved attention to composer, journeyman, axe-specialist Frank Carillo and his powerhouse backing unit The Bandoleros.

Someday is out now on Jezebel Records.
