Trinumeral Productions and Under One Beat Entertainment is thrilled to announce several boundary-breaking lineup additions to the 9th annual Trinumeral Music and Arts Festival, a five day multi-venue event celebrating the date in which the day, month, and year align in auspicious numeric sameness.
Adding to an already progressive line-up of musical innovators is the performance of a new trio consisting of Bela Fleck (banjo), Zakir Hussain (tabla, percussion), and Edgar Meyer (bass). Three of the most limitless creators and composers in the history of music, these virtuosos bring to the festival an unprecedented array of skills and accomplishments that touch every geographical and stylistic corner of the musical world. This is also the trio’s first ever festival appearance. Other artist additions include two Disco Biscuits’
side projects, Conspirator and M80 Dubstation, as well as Lipp Service (featuring Eliot Lipp and members of the Pnuma Trio) and
the Egg (UK).
They join an existing lineup that includes fast-rising San Francisco-based producer collective, The Glitch Mob, wildly popular live breakbeat producer, Pretty Lights, electronic mastermind RJD2, genre-fusing local heros Toubab Krewe, 60’s avante garde jazz legends, the Sun Ra Arkestra, rap star Gift of Gab of Blackalicious, and 50 more wildly diverse and talented acts.
Newly tapped to perform at the festival launch party at the Orange Peel in downtown Asheville, NC is Lipp Service (a collaboration between renowned DJ Eliot Lipp and members of Pnuma Trio) and UK sensations, The Egg. Also helping kick-off the festivities is an array of visual and performance artists that will well represent the town’s legendary bohemian arts scene.
Tickets to the opening night festivities at the Orange Peel are available exclusively to the festival’s first 999 ticket buyers.
The rest of the weekend will be staged at the majestic Deerfields Music Park, just twenty minutes south of Asheville in Horse Shoe, NC. Trinumeral is the only major music event this summer at Deerfields, which is known as the premier outdoor music venue in the Southeast U.S., and is truly one of the most pristine and gorgeous concert locations in the country.
Rounding out the new lineup additions are some of the region’s best up-and-coming acts, including Josh Phillips Folk Festival, Sci Fi, and The Mantras.
In addition to music, the Trinumeral festival offers a full weekend of visual and performance artists, workshops, and outdoor activities. Tickets and further details are available at www.trinumeral.com.
