The EASY STAR ALL-STARS are one of reggae's most successful touring groups playing over 125 shows in 25 countries on 6 different continents in 2009 alone. Through their travels, the band was continually exposed to new dub and reggae offshoots, and came up with the idea to reinterpret their original tribute album.
On October 26th, the Easy Star All-Stars will release Dubber Side of the Moon – an evolution on their 2003 classic remake album Dub Side of the Moon (which is, of course, a reggae interpretation of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon). For "Dubber" the All-Stars enlisted On-U Sound's Adrian Sherwood and Mad Professor, 10 Ft. Ganja Plant, Dreadzone, The Alchemist and many more to bring some newly developing futurist reggae right into their own music.
Honest Tune's Album Review Department has received our advanced copy of the upcoming release. Stay tuned for a full review coming this week.
