Following the release of his latest album, I Wasn’t Built For a Life Like This (released September 25), indie-folkster Caleb Stine recorded an intimate live set for legendary Baltimore radio station WTMD. The stripped down set was recorded at Bunker Studios in front of a small audience which reinforced the personal nature of Stine’s new album.
For the Bunker Sessions set, Stine was joined by fellow Baltimore musician Kenny Liner of The Bridge (who recently finished recording their latest Steve Berlin produced album.) The duo worked through songs from both of their extensive catalogs as well as a few choice covers, in addition to highlighting songs from, I Wasn’t Built for a Life Like This, about which Urbanite Magazine declares, “Stine’s opaque storytelling is poetic, clever, and often melancholy, but, thankfully, he doesn’t take himself too seriously…His unique brand of country-meets-city storytelling branches out into a new genre—call it contemporary Americana or urban roots.”
For those outside of the WTMD listening area, the entire show can be streamed at wtmd.org tonight at 8pm.
