Albert Castiglia : Keepin On

fKeepin On, blues guitarist Albert Castiglia latest album, features an inspired mix of originals and classic covers. Recorded primarily live in the studio, Castiglia’s fourth solo release is his finest effort yet, proving this former member of Junior Wells backing band can play the blues with the best of them.

While the cover tracks on Keepin On were written by the likes of John Lee Hooker ("I’m Goin’ Upstairs"), Peter Green ("I Could Not Ask For More") and Bob Dylan (“Til I Fell in Love With You), it’s obvious that Castiglia’s biggest influence was the late Stevie Ray Vaughan. Though his playing is not as unique or innovate as Vaughan was in his day, Keepin On proves Castiglia is a major force in the blues world, poised to make a name on his own merits.

Keepin On is out now on Blue Leaf Records.
