It seems that every time that we turn around, 7 Walkers pop up. From critical acclaim for their self titled release that earned them a couple of spots on Honest Tune’s Best Albums of 2010 list to scattered shows from coast to coast, they have stepped onto the scene with fortitude and authority. It doesn’t hurt that the outfit is comprised of veterans from somewhat diverse musical backgrounds with Bill Kreutzmann, George Porter Jr., Papa Mali, and Matt Hubbard filling out the ensemble. In addition, rather than rehashing the days of old, the band is debuting new material, some of which was lyrically penned by Grateful Dead lyricist, Robert Hunter. Honest Tune caught up with 7 Walkers in late October for a gig in California and now through the photography of Vernon Webb, we are catching up with them again on the east coast.
